Mark R. Wilson

Thirty years of professional experience in environmental compliance and engineering with a broad background in the environmental consulting industry.  Experience includes extensive report writing and review related to Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) compliance, leaking underground storage tank (LUST) releases and voluntary Site Remediation Program (SRP) closures, Site investigation planning, risk-based corrective action assessments and clean-up options evaluation, National Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and air permitting and other analyses for industrial clients in multiple states, and review, critique, and summarizing of other consultants’ work.  Extensive field work experience includes supervision of soil boring, monitoring well installations, sampling of soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and asbestos, leachate, gas condensate, and landfill gas, maintenance of active remediation systems, supervision of underground storage tank removal, and construction oversight and heavy equipment operator supervision.  Specific areas of regulatory expertise include the use of the Illinois Tiered Approach to Corrective Action Objectives (TACO) modeling to achieve closures of LUST and SRP Sites, US Brownfields remediation and reporting.  Experienced in conducting Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments of a variety of property types, annual air emissions reporting, annual hazardous waste reports, landfill gas sampling, groundwater monitoring statistical analysis reports, environmental analysis management, bioassays, and habitat assessments.

Mr. Allenstein has over 25 years of professional experience in the environmental and geotechnical industry. His work has included operations as a drill rig geologist for the installation of environmental monitoring wells (unconsolidated and bedrock aquifers), shallow water aquifer wells as well as on municipal deep aquifer wells to 2,000 feet.
